Tomorrow, November 11, we will see if Doha 2017 is also the choice of the IAAF when the Council votes on the 2017 IAAF World Championship host.

As a strong and supportive partner to the IAAF, Doha 2017 is dedicated to developing new solutions for the continued growth and expansion of Athletics worldwide. Already, the Doha 2017 team has garnered the full support of many Member Federations and fans worldwide. With a strong online presence, Doha 2017 followers are engaging daily in forums to show their support - notably their support is shown in the Inside the Games poll which asks "Who should host the IAAF 2017 World Championships?" Doha has been ahead in the polls for over two weeks and continues to lead with 53%.
Executive Director of the Doha 2017 Bid Committee, Mr. Abdulla Al Zaini stated: "Already we have activated so many international fans through various online social media networks and this Inside the Games poll is just the beginning. We will continue to attract international support and expand our reach all the way up to 2017 and beyond. This is a sign of great things to come for the World Championships and the future of Athletics, and we are the right partner to keep this momentum going."
His Excellency Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulraham Al Thani, Chairman of the Doha 2017 Bid Committee, stated: "We are honoured that we are the choice of the people. Our partnership and dedication to Athletics resonates well with the world, and we hope that our commitment to Athletics has also made an impact on the IAAF. We look forward to sharing our vision with the IAAF Council Members tomorrow, and look forward to being able to expand our great Athletics partnership."
