Radio stars Hamish Blake and Andy Lee took the Australian Junior Athletics Championships by storm at the weekend, lining up in a 4x400m relay at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre on day three of the national titles.

While the all-new meet, which saw 1500 athletes compete in 300 events across four days of track and field action, was a stunning showcase of talent from across the country, it was radio duo Hamish and Andy who had the crowd on its feet in the least competitive event of the championships.

Stepping out at Sydney Olympic Park as part of their bi-bi-tri-biathlon, a marathon weekend of 24 sports, the pair was joined by NSWIS athlete Kevin Moore and Australian Flame representative Ryan Gregson in action on the track, only to be trounced by five underage state teams.

With the pair unlikely to stake a claim for Australian Flame selection any time soon, make sure you catch their compression-clad athletics antics while you still can! Check out all the action from the track in Fox FM’s online gallery here and see the race that stopped Sydney Olympic Park on Network Ten’s The 7pm Project from 7pm tonight.
