The book addresses the prevention and control of chronic diseases from epidemiologic, economic, prevention/management and governance perspectives.
Both developed and developing countries are explored and comparisons are to be made between countries.
Victor Matsudo, Vice-President of ICSSPE, contributed to a comparative case study of the publication with an article in which he addresses Chronic diseases in Brazil, to understand the causes and consequences of chronic diseases on a global level.
