Renato Canova and his interview by Helmut Winter at the Dubai Marathon
Renato Canova is an Italian athletics coach. He coaches the Kenyan born Qatari 3000m Steeplechase world record holder Saif Saeed Shaheen, 10,000 meter runner Nicholas Kemboi, Sylvia Kibet, Imane Merga and Abel Kirui (World Marathon Champion 2011). He is one of the most successful coaches in the world, his athletes have won many medals in top international middle and long distance competitions.
At the Dubai Marathon he was interviewed by Helmut Winter.

Bernd Huebner: Berlin's Marathon Man
His friends and running buddies call him "Huebi." Bernd Huebner is Berlin's Marathon Man, the only person to have run every one of the city's marathons since it began in 1974.
In those days, the course ran along the Grunewald, not through Berlin's center like it does today, Huebner says.
In the early years, there were almost no spectators and the media barely noticed it. At that time marathon runners were regarded as somewhat mad.
Running became Huebner's passion in the mid 1960's. The Berliner used to row, but with frozen lakes in the winters, he decided to look for another activity: long-distance running.

David Lekuta Rudisha set a new world record of one minute 41.09 seconds in the 800 metres on Sunday at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium
His time shaved two hundredths of a second off the previous best mark set by Denmark’s Kenyan-born Wilson Kipketer in August 1997.
