Advertising on the German Road Races Website

Attractive advertising options for members, race organisers, and companies interested in running – GRR spokesman Horst Milde: “An important step for our community!”

The website for the interest group for Germany’s largest road races,, has changed dramatically since last December. “We have seen a clear increase in interest following the relaunch of the website. And that is exactly what we set out to do,” says GRR spokesman Horst Milde. “We want to become THE Internet portal for runners. And that means more than just publishing reports on our member events!” Now the GRR website includes not only the newest information from the running scene, but also from are areas of sports politics, sports medicine, and sport history, as well from the areas of nutrition and running literature. If everything goes according to the wishes of the German Road Race spokesman, then additional sections will be added soon. These are also to include an up-to-date and comprehensive statistics section that will appeal to all athletics fans.

Another new addition is the opportunity to set up advertising on the German Road Races website. Following extensive preparations in conglomeration with the communications agency, bytepark GmbH (Berlin), advertising banners can now be posted at an attractive price. The GRR spokesmen differentiate between the pricing of the offers available to its member races, to other race organisers, and to commercial companies interested in running. “Having an up-to-date website naturally comes at a price,” Horst Milde stated. “That is why we have decided to expand what we offer by setting up banner advertising. This is an important step toward a stable future for German Road Races. We are certain that this will provide an interesting opportunity for our members, for other race organisers, and for commercial businesses for drawing attention to their own services and capabilities!” The banners can be posted for a minimum period of four weeks, while an extension at reduced rates is possible.
